Production – Producer

Job Description

Seeking energetic, even-keeled CGI Producer to help manage multiple projects spanning TV Series, Theme park rides, Features and Games. Extensive Animation production experience with understanding of CG/VFX pipelines and a well-developed industry reputation required. Experienced in defining project goals/priorities, scheduling artists/tasks, breaking down and monitoring costs, forecasting potential obstacles, communicating specifications and motivating teams.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with an overall schedule and negotiate with the client/production to an agreed plan (using a combination initially of Excel – scheduling – and Shotgun for asset management and artist management, and proprietary tools)

Keep to the overall budget and schedule

Prepare detailed cost documents that will enable you to prepare staffing requirements that fit within the budget

Inform/consult with the Project supervisor and/or management and HR of your staffing needs and assist in recruitment of project personnel when required

Build and maintain relationships with the clients developing an in-depth understanding of their requirements from Project standpoint

Manage budgets and schedules and ensure project is completed to the highest standard achievable and returns a profit within the schedule.

Ensure an appropriate level of client confidentiality and financial confidentiality within the team

Ensure that feedback meetings are kept strictly on schedule and are informative, attend the meetings as appropriate and assist the Line Producer / co-ordinators whenever necessary

Brief and manage internal teams and hold regular team meetings through co-ordinators when appropriate

Manage outsourcing of work with an assigned co-ordinator if necessary for workers off site and ensure confidentiality and security protocols are met at all times

Manage multiple departments (i.e. Modeling, Assets, animation, lighting, compositing, edit etc.), teams and resources in accordance with the overall project schedule

Assist the Supervisor with quotes for additional work and solving production issues

Provide verbal and written progress reports to clients, management and internal teams regularly

Local handling of performance, productivity, attendance and time keeping with Lead Artists

Coaching, developing and supporting teams

Scheduling approval dates with project supervisors and ensuring that these dates are kept

Advising on work area set up and working with Management to ensure work environment is conducive to project requirements, informing Management of any issues with the studio should it arise.

Managing administrative production staff and delegating appropriate responsibilities

t may well be necessary at times for you to work unsociable hours to meet production demands

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

5-6 years’ experience as a Producer on a CG animated feature / TV Series.

Expert & proven track record in CG animation production processes, cinematic pipeline design, innovation and management.

A thorough knowledge of animation process and good knowledge of the creative side of animation producing

Strong management skills, capable of organizing and coordinating people with enthusiasm, and tactfully resolving interpersonal conflicts when necessary.

Skilled at quick analysis, problem solving and pro-active decision making to meet daily/weekly challenges in context of longer term strategic goals, resource limitations and re-use of materials for future projects.

Able to communicate effectively with clients effectively.

Mature and analytic decision maker in a strategy-driven cross-culture team environment.

An organized thinker and clear succinct communicator

Enjoys working with artists in a creative environment

Understands how resource limitations can be managed to inspire delivery of creative quality

Calm, organized and methodical under pressure and under tight deadlines.

Sense of humor is a plus.
